Cyball raises $1.8M to build new football-themed P2E mobile game
Cyball, a soccer-themed play-to-earn mobile game, raised $1.8 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Bitcraft Ventures, with contributions from several other notable brands. Cyball backers include Animoca Brands, Impossible Finance, Essential Assets, Merit Circle, and others. As currently built, the mobile game works on both Solana and Binance Smart Chain.

Basically, players need to build their own team of CyBlocs to compete with players from all over the world. The game is like a combination of a soccer manager and an axi-like trading card game. All Cyblox are NFTs, and have several features that differentiate one from the other. The combination of their traits, classes and skills are the determining factors of CyBlocs’ performance on the field.
This P2E mobile game offers a casual setting where players can earn rewards. The level of the NFT can rise as they fight it out on the field. There are also strategy cards that players can use to increase their chances of winning. In addition, players can also create new Cyblocks using existing Cyblocks as mentors. As players and scholars improve their respective teams, they can register to compete in leagues and special tournaments to earn more rewards.
Their ecosystem includes an NFT marketplace for players to trade various Cyball assets. They also have a CyLoans platform to facilitate automatic scholarships for proprietary CyBlocs. Lastly, the company has hired CyDex to trade Cyball tokens ($CBT) internally for the community.
As with other P2E projects, we are delighted to see more parties traveling together towards growing the NFT gaming space.
