Gucci is the latest fashion brand to make a grand entrance to RoboLux
Italian fashion house, Gucci cementing its metavers presence, has launched a new Gucci Town in Robolex. The “volatile digital space” will serve as an interactive hub with mini-games, a virtual store and even a cafe. The initiative is based on a few more metaverse experiences of the brand, including a Gucci garden that it launched last year. So what is Robolex Gucci Town?
What is Roblox’s Gucci Town?
Roblex has a central garden in Gucci Town that connects to other locations in the city. Users can play mini-games, go to a cafe, or buy Gucci costumes from virtual stores for their avatars. Clearly, virtual clothing is created using RoboLux’s new “layered clothing” technology.
Some of the Gucci-inspired games at Mini Game Heights include Tile Takeover and Flashlight Tags. Alternatively, players can also go to Creative Corner to enjoy the work of visiting artists. What’s more, they can create their own art here. Also, at an exhibition space called Vault Plaza, players can discover vintage Gucci items as well as pieces from other brands.
“The community has always been the starting point when designing experiences,” said Nicolas Odinot, EVP of Gucci’s new business. Edge. “It’s true, we envision future developments as an open conversation between Gucci and the recurring audience.”
About Gucci and Metavers
Gucci first launched a Gucci-themed immersion experience, called the Gucci Garden Roblocks in May 2021. The venue was reported to have attracted more than 20 million players last year, although it was only open for two weeks.
Gucci hopes that its latest Gucci Town at RoboLux will continue to grow over time. As Gucci expands its metaverse presence we can probably expect more brands to follow.
