‘RNTs’- New NFT Booking Ideas for Hotels – NFT Plaza

To avoid losing money from last-minute cancellations, hotels are planning to convert canceled bookings into NFT. ‘RNTs’ (room-night tokens) have been dubbed, the new concept means that those who cancel bookings will have to sell their RNTs in a marketplace dedicated to selling an unused room (such as StubHub for concert and sporting event tickets), instead of returning or repurchasing. Asking for bookings puts the cash flow of the business at risk.

A resort called Dominican Republic is planning to adopt a new strategy in hotels Casa de Campo Resort and VillaWith whom he has partnered PinktadaA new booking system platform that allows users to purchase RNT for a specific room, duration or night set.

According to the platform, this is a replacement of the old model for securing reservations, such as after purchasing an RNT, the hotel’s revenue is protected and guaranteed, which means that if a customer wants to cancel or re-book their location, they can do so. So by transferring, selling or switching their RNT to Pinktada up to two days before check-in.

Pinktada will create a marketplace that will allow people Buy bulk RNTsWhich they can then sell on the platform for a separate room night price.

Like any product, RNTs will still be subject to market price fluctuations, but unlike many NFTs, they will come with an expiration date that indicates its value along with the check-in date.
