OpenSea has acquired gem.xyz, a powerful tool for traders NFT Culture | NFT News | Interviews and more

OpenSea has announced that it has acquired NFT Marketplace Aggregator Gem for an undisclosed price. Writing in a blog post by Opency CEO Devin Finger, they take this step to improve the experience of their more experienced, professional users and power traders who will buy bulk.

GEM.xyz has recently gained a reputation for creating a clean and polished (for Web3) marketplace that allows users to purchase large quantities of NFT from a single collection that allows collectors to package a bundle and save gas on transactions.

OpenSea and Gem will continue to work together in the future to provide their customers with the products they need, but for now GEM will continue to operate independently of OpenSea.

gem.xyz has recently gained prominence because collectors and wallet-peppers look at the speed of projects and floors before deciding to come quickly, and sweep collections with potential uplift. Ratna has been praised for updating their open roadmaps and planned features and integrating them more publicly than most space projects. In fact, you can see future improvements (and suggestions) on their canny.io page.

In addition to being able to select NFTs for packaging in your cart (and see the gas you save), the tool space has the most impressive filtering capabilities that allow collectors to filter by rarity, price, marketplace, and whatever. The number of features available in a collection. Additionally, you can package other collections in a single transaction (if you choose that view). Here is an example of how a packaged group of Friends Series 2 nfts can be merged into a single transaction.

Future features for OpenSea?

OpenSea seems to have been deliberately clear from the “ranking” categories, especially the rare counts that have become incredibly popular with the rise of the NFT. It will be interesting to note that OpenSea will force users to use 3rd party plugins, tools or websites to find rarity versus collectors to create rarity tables for NFT projects in products with NFT projects.
