What is the “In Our Code” generative art exhibition about?

From 13 September, collectors will explore a new digital universe through Unit London’s first generative art exhibition. The event, titled “In Our Code,” will reveal the surprisingly powerful bond between the human imagination and AI.

As a participant, you can check out new NFTs from the top artists in the field: Tyler Hobbs, IX Shells, and Casey Reas. Each content creator uses its own autonomous system based on its unique data entry system. To clarify, each artist will display a different style and color scheme depending on their coding scheme.

For example, leading exhibitor Tyler Hobbs is primarily working with algorithms and plotters for his generative art. Meanwhile, IX Shells’ artwork was exhibited by the prestigious Christie’s New York this year. Last but not least, Casey Reyes created Processing, an innovative programming language for creating animations.

Together, the three artists unit will showcase some of their top artworks during London’s “Our Code” exhibition.

Why did the unit team up with the London AOI?

Unit London Gallery has joined forces with AOI for its Generative Art exhibition. AOI (short for “Art on the Internet”) is a Web3 platform that promotes digital creativity through NFT. From TV shows to art exhibitions, the platform shares the same mission as Unit London: to bring together generative artists and collectors.

“Our goal is to quickly cross-pollinate the distinct traditional art and NFT audiences,” said Joe Kennedy, co-founder of Unit London. “We provide ongoing opportunities for education and participation within both communities and create a truly inclusive, visionary art world.”
