BRICK: The Ledger NFT Collab gives voting rights to a music venue
BRICK is a crypto-meets-music initiative that continues to strengthen the link between the music industry and the crypto sphere. Co-founded by musicians Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, BRICK promises to be “a music venue by night and a community-driven creative space by day.” Also, it promises to serve as a metaverse music venue.
Brick: From what we know so far
BRICK is the brainchild of Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, who have toured with the hardcore punk band Trash Talk for over 10 years. They drew inspiration from the DIY punk scene and together developed the concept for this new venture.
Described as “a music venue by night and a community-run creative space by day”, it will serve as an arts hub. It can be a place for live concerts, workshops and comedy shows – but also for financial literacy classes. This is because BRICK is collaborating with Ledger to educate artists about crypto and crypto security.
In addition to a brick-and-mortar headquarters, the project will also buy land in Metaverse. Here, it will host virtual concerts as well as crypto classes. All in all, it’s safe to say that BRICK sounds like a musician’s paradise

About the Brick Genesis Pass
The BRICK Genesis Pass presale began on Wednesday, September 7 and is currently open for lasers [ L ] Market pass holder. Interested persons can also join the sanction list, even if they are not registered [ L ] Market Pass holders, and stand in line for a chance to own a Genesis Pass for 0.15 ETH.
According to the official website, 50 percent of the mint money will go toward venue rental and paying for programming, staff and other holder-sanctioned activities. Additionally, one week after the release, BRICK will conduct a snapshot, through which holders can claim a physical brick in the wall at the IRL venue.
Genesis Pass holders will also have a vote on what BRICK does with the venue. They will receive free entry to all events, including a plus-one, merchandise, access to workshops and more. In addition, they will also have access to Metaverse and live-streamed events, as well as token-gated masterclasses.
Web3 and the music industry
BRICK is the latest in a line of music industry-meets-web3 initiatives aiming to revolutionize the traditional music industry. Arguably, music’s link to Web3 reached a peak in visibility recently when Snoop Dogg and Eminem pulled off a Web3-assisted performance at the VMAs. It’s safe to say that we’re just at the beginning of what web3 and music can achieve together.
