Let’s face it: the NFT space moves really fast. Given how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFT can be as good as a month IRL.

Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you, because we’ve put together a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops that you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s what to watch this week.
CRYPTO ART – BEGINS

What: An open-edition physical NFT

Why: Crypto Art Begins – To commemorate the launch of the first Phygital Book, 50 crypto art OGs in the NFT space have come together to contribute to this open-edition drop. With each drop, collectors will receive a special physical edition of the Crypto Art Begins book with a hardcover design by one of 50 featured artists. In addition, collectors will receive a random NFT from one of the 50 artists, which can be used as a gateway to exclusive shots, events and private initiatives featuring the collection’s artists, partners and curators.
Reversible II

Why: Acclaimed perspective (and reversal) artist Patrick Hughes will release the second edition of his Reverspective collection as NFTs at MakersPlace later this week. For the uninitiated, Hughes’ “unexpected” pieces are achieved through “his unique technique of forcing perspective using physical sculptural images.” When viewed directly, these paintings appear to be merely flat surfaces — but the slightest angles quickly give the painting a stunning three-dimensional appearance.
Stephen Weda x Pamela Anderson

What: Seven images are NFT

Why: During Wayda’s decades-long career photographing the rich and famous, his best work has come in his attempts to humanize larger-than-life subjects. His latest foray into the NFT space features front and center Baywatch Star Pamela Anderson – a true icon of the 90s and early 2000s. In this NFT collection, Wayda has made available for purchase exclusive photos of Anderson during his 96-hour tryst with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. We all know what happened next — the beginning of a short-lived marriage when these cultural icons were at their peak.
Bitcoin Chronicles: 2017

Why: Best known for his stunning animated landscapes, Ares decided to put his visual storytelling skills to the test with his latest work as part of the Not Fungible series depicting every year of Bitcoin’s history. Hoping to capture the peak of Bitcoin’s bull run in 2017, Ares’ stunning landscape features almost all the key moments of this pivotal year in crypto history. At least, the presentation of that moment. Can you find them all?

What: 5,550 NFTs with songs tied to them

Why: Was Lil B crazy when he dropped a nearly 900-song mixtape in 2012? OMGKIRBY and Chanel Tres surpassed this figure, to put it mildly. But the best part about this is that this drop is far from a flex. With this project, the duo hopes to provide value for holders by licensing each of these 5,550 songs for use in their choice – podcast intros, YouTube video music beds or even full-on remixes. The sky is our limit. You don’t get just one song by buying an NFT from this collection. Each song will be accompanied by a hand-drawn animated NFT depicting Channel Tres chillin’ in different settings.
