Millions worth of NFT stolen after board apps hack Instagram – The Defender
Ape owners are the victims of scandals.
In recent work, some users have lost their Board App Yacht Club (BAYC) and other NFTs after the project’s Instagram was hacked, pointing users to a malicious website that promises an airdrop on virtual land.
According to the on-chain sleuth, zachxbt, The hacker stole A total of 91 NFTs, including four boring apps and seven mutant apps. As of April 25, these 11 NFTs are priced at $ 2.6M at current floor and ETH prices.
zachxbt also shares the address of the attacker’s wallet which is seen to fall as the price spikes and then the attacker drops off NFTs.
The board apps site seems to have redirected the Instagram favicon to its homepage to reduce the damage.
Not the first time
