VeeFriends Major League Pickleball has announced the first utility for Series 2 token holders in Austin. NFT Culture | NFT News | Interviews and more

VeeFriends Major League Pickballball is hosting an on-site experience in Austin, a 3-day tournament to be held June 3-5, 2022, in Dreaming Springs, Dreamland, Texas.

Pickleball is a racquet game where players use a perforated plastic ball to try to hit it over the net. The game is played on a court where a net divides it into two parts.

The game was invented by Wally Frohelich of Seattle, Washington in 1965 and was named “Pickleball” because he was selling pickles at the time.

It is now played with over one million players around the world who play at least once a year.

Who plays pickleball?

People of all ages can play pickball, but it is common for adults to play this game because they have more time to do it. The average age of the players is around 55 years and there are many people who are 75 years old

This is the first utility announced for Series 2 VeeFriends holders; Those who qualify for this experience are:

  1. Those who own the competitive clown character
  2. Who owns a pickleball court background

This on-site experience was created after Gary Weinerchuk recently bought ownership of a Major League Pickleball (MLP) team called “The 5’s” and the ‘competitive clown’ character from the VeeFriends collection became the team’s logo. MLP 2022 first event of the year for the Austin League; The CBS Sports Network will broadcast the show.

VeeFriends in Dreamland will have a “VEE-IP” experience:

  • A “preferred MLP rate” at Sonesta in Bee Cave

  • VEE-IP Seats: Pickleball up near VEE-IP section and special main area for private viewing.

  • VEE-IP Hospitality: Access to MLP’s “special guest” air-conditioned tent, where breakfast, lunch, dinner and complimentary drinks will be served throughout the day

  • VEE-IP Parking: VIP Parking

  • VEE-IP pack: MLP hoodie, shirt and cap

  • VEE-IP photo with 5: Photos with Gariver’s MLP team taken by our official photographer Future Fox 360 Friday and Saturday

  • Meet and greet VeeFriends professionals and presidents: Meet the players, learn about the sport, and join a Q&A with VeeFriends president Andy Krinak (Gary Vanerchuk will not be on the show).
