Facebook has introduced NFT functionality for selected users – NFT Plaza
After piloting the NFT showcase on Instagram, the global social media conglomerate Meta has now begun roll-out testing of digital resource functionality on its largest subsidiary Facebook. Initially, the test will enable US-based manufacturers, who are a mere fraction of the platform’s nearly two billion daily users, to display both Ethereum and Polygon NFTs on their profiles.
To give a visual insight into the new features, the group’s product manager Navdeep Singh took to social media powerhouse colleague Twitter to see how a hidden Digital resources Will appear on the Facebook interface. The Image Shows a The ‘Digital Collectibles’ tab on users’ Facebook profiles, when tapped, shows NFTs in the crypto wallet synced to the account.
The NFT, which in the future, will also be from Solana and Flow blockchains, will also be posted on the Facebook timeline, where friends can respond to them via likes, comments and shares.
The blockchain-infused move comes as part of a collective goal to transform Facebook into a Center for digital resource-related activitiesAs it plans to redesign its ‘Group’ feature into something that mimics the qualities of Web3-receiving (and sometimes problematic) communication platforms, Discord.
