The Prodigy artist Maxim will launch 888 ‘Lepidopter’ butterflies as an NFT on Crypto.com

Contemporary British artist Maxim (MM), a founding member of the iconic band The Prodigy, has announced his first solo NFT collection in collaboration with Web3 Studio Snowcrash.

On Wednesday, July 27, the Lepidopter collection will be unveiled at Crypto.com, which contains 888 still images of four armed butterflies.

In this collection, butterflies have been re-imagined as powerful creatures with skulls and deadly weapons.

There are four categories of butterflies: ‘Citizen’, ‘Labor Butterfly’, ‘Warrior Butterflies’ and ‘Royal Butterflies’.

In total, 50 royal butterflies, 50 warrior butterflies, 50 worker butterflies and the remaining 738 butterflies will be citizens.

As part of Maxim’s intriguing description, all sections belong to the senior family of butterflies, Lepidopters, and have their role in protecting the magical golden pollen from clown wasps.

Lepidopter butterflies were first conceived in 2009 by Maxim. He recalled the childhood memories of an ad in which a young girl was running through a cornfield while trying to catch an elegant butterfly, waving a net.

His subsequent thinking led him to equip butterflies in his art, giving them the ability and strength to defend themselves.

Maxim’s imagination gave birth to a butterfly rebellion, as depicted in his Lepidopter art collection.

Now, Maxim is taking his idea to Metaverse and creating NFT, which he sees as the normal progression of his collection.

“I’m very excited about my upcoming Lepidopterror NFT drop,” Maxim said. “I’ve previously released NFT in collaboration with two other artist friends, but this is my first single NFT drop and I can’t wait to release it. I’m thrilled to be working with the Snowcrash team because we’ve built a great partnership. “

Launched on March 2, 2022, Snowcrash is a new Web3 studio that empowers artists, publishers and brands to build community, value and ownership with NFTs in the Web3 ecosystem.

It includes a digital creative studio, marketing services, a curated exchange platform, licensing / IP management and web 3 engineering capabilities.

SnowCrash further revealed that there is a large NFT collaboration with Bob Dylan and Miles Davis on the works to be announced after 2022.
