where are you from
I am from Cuba, although I always like to say that I am a citizen of the world. I study painting
Graduated from the National Academy of Havana, majoring in painting. I work for something
Years as an easel restorer at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba. But I always have
Dedicating myself to art and developing my own artistic style, because creating is important to me
A need, a refuge, a way to express oneself.

Can you tell us about your background and what led you to become one?
An artist and finally experimenting with NFTs?
I had a strong inclination towards drawing and painting since childhood. my family loves
Arts and has always been a complete support for me. I was able to study from a very young age
Learn a lot at art school and from other artists and teachers. Art is always constant
Evolution and my mind are always searching for new ways to reinterpret my work in different ways
The media. This is why I moved from painting on cardboard, to painting on canvas and wood and
Other elements. But always, parallel to that, I felt very attracted to technology and it
Infinite possibilities to create. So I recently invested in getting the necessary equipment
Create digital art, without learning programs like krita to take my physical style to digital
3D modeling and sculpting programs like Blender and ZBrush also lose their essence,
Where I take my work to the three dimensional plane. So, one thing led to another. i am
I needed to find a way to market the digital art I was creating and NFTs opened it up
The door is wide open for me. Today I am completely focused on this new medium.

When did you mint your first NFT? Which platform did you choose and why?
My first job was done at OpenC with the help of a great guy named Ernesto
Cisneros, who has been in the medium for a long time and is an advisor, guide and
Friends of mine and many other artists got their start in the world of Web 3. At that time, OpenC
NFT seems like the best place to start because of the convenience of building a collection
and costs.
You’ve been selected by Trevor Jones’ Art Angels, and it sounds like a huge success! what are you
Tell us a little about this experience? Has it changed for you?
This is a road I have slowly walked since I started this journey in December 2021,
Learning from every step … So when I was invited by Trevor Jones into his space – I didn’t know
Him at all – I was surprised, at first because Web 3 has a lot of good artists, like one
I am just a drop in the vast ocean. So it was an honor that he saw me and invited me for it
important place What happened next was actually a huge change for me
Invitation A while ago, I was already dreaming of one day coming to Superray, but for me
It was a dream for the future. Knowing that it would be my Genesis with an auction
The exclusive market was a surprise that filled me with excitement!

Since then I’ve gained a lot of followers and sales, which is a motivation to keep creating
And to improve my work.

Can you tell us one thing you can’t live without? (and why)
Well… I have two basic things in my life: my family and my work. my family
My spiritual support. My husband and daughter, who are also dedicated to art. clever
Each other, we are a team. We share tasks, ideas, homework. on the other hand,
Work, the creative process, is a necessity not only because it is our economic support, but
Because it feeds the soul. My mind is always creating images that I need to concretize into a visual
It’s the easiest way for me to expose myself to the support world.

Who is your favorite artist(s) (NFT)? What about their style resonates with you?
In the world of art I am primarily a fan of Gothic and pre-Renaissance art, artists such as
Van Eyck brother or G. Botch inspired me a lot in my early days. But basically I love it
Surrealist and Symbolist Art. From there I can highlight two artists that fascinate me: Leonora
Carrington and Remedios Varo. I feel a great connection with both of them, especially with this one
remedy’; A dreamlike world of work and the stylized fantastical beings that come from it
personal fantasy. A work full of descriptions, poems, scenes that tells a kind of story has come to a halt
instant

Who is your favorite NFT artist? What makes this artist unique?
There are many artists on Web 3 that I admire. But it’s different when you’re close enough
See their work and thought process. This is by artist @jassbarbier
My partner for over 20 years. I don’t pick on him for this, but I admire him
He is a great artist. His work is always in constant evolution towards self exploration
and aesthetic perfection. I saw him go into painting, sculpture, painting, collage
Digital photography and then transform it into something unique, beautiful, surreal. his piece
take me to another world One that somehow reminds me of steam punk style, but in
A personal and highly refined way. The way he can photograph objects, door fragments,
scenes, and then turn them into something entirely new, in machines, in clothes, in
The gorgeous ornament that wraps her portrait, mesmerizes me.

What made you pursue the NFT industry?
As I said in the previous question… I was already doing some digital work when I started hearing
I was very skeptical about NFT in the beginning because I didn’t know anything about it. i am
Join Cuban and Latino community groups and start listening and learning how it’s new
The universe worked. I am learning little by little because there are many things
Information and still have a lot to learn. I am fortunate to have the support of the community
Which is wonderful and where everyone helps each other and I repeat, musicians and artists
NFT Ernesto Cisneros. who helped me with the necessary resources to start my first collection
OpenC.

What is one part of the NFT industry that you bought but wish you missed?
I don’t think I’ve reached the point of considering becoming a large-scale art collector yet. i am
Great artists and saw work, but I have not yet been inclined to buy. I’m still at a stage
Where I need to focus more and invest in better resources to improve and optimize its tools
Business – Trade.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go? Why this position?
All I can say is that I love the mild climate and the scenery. Wildlife and wild bird watching.
I have always dreamed of a place away from the big city. I came to many places
Meet these requirements that can go. In Spain, in British Columbia… in Germany… well, me
Undecided…maybe all!

What are your other passions besides art? Why?
Well, this has something to do with the previous question. I am a nature lover
And animals, I love studying birds, I love rescuing animals and finding homes for them. me too
Love to sing, although I only dare to sing with friends! I love video games, yes, even
Even though I’m 44 years old I still have my inner child!

Do you create other forms of art?
I’m always looking for new ways to create. I’ve done everything. In my beginning I
Drawing on paper or cardboard, then I started painting on canvas and wood. I was fascinated by
Using pieces of wood that were once part of doors, windows, furniture. Also draw
Metal or stone supports. My conceptual art and performance was in my transient phase. i am
Above all sculpted in clay and wood. In digital art I tried drawing, painting,
3D modeling and sculpting, animation and so on I have experimented with different ways
There is still much to learn and do in creation!

How do you come up with your specific style?
Ever since I was a child, imagination has always accompanied me. Imagine characters and animals
And the situations between them are what I see as stories in my mind. I was that outsider and as I am
I was developing my own style learning drawing and painting techniques. First full
Influence of medieval art, sensual art, but slowly I found my way, my image, me
The symbols recognized today continue to evolve.

How has your style evolved over the years?
I said before. It has been a gradual evolution. I have always loved the human figure
The first ratios were very difficult for me until I found a way to do them. is left
Allowing myself to be carried away by my thoughts, feelings and fantasy and my improvement
A good way to explain all this.

What is coming in the near future?
I am full of ideas and projects. My mind doesn’t stop and I’m still very motivated. i am working
In several projects at the same time, something that arose from entering the great NFT
Community where new things always come. For a new market where I was invited, a
Under the Wings of Impulse by Ernesto Cisneros, joint exhibition in Paris. Art projects… me
Web 3 is also working on various collaborations with artists, which is one of the best ways to get
To know each other better.

If you could collaborate with one artist, who would it be?
The first artist I want to collaborate with and in fact I’m already doing it with my beloved
@jasbarbear. But I am open to any artist who wants to collaborate, be it a painter, a
Musician, a 3D artist, a writer…and beyond.

Do you have any upcoming drops?
I am waiting for the right moment. I’m done, but I want to wait a bit before I put it
It’s on the market. I don’t want to saturate now.

Where can collectors find your work?
I currently have work available at Foundation and KnownOrigin. But there in the near future
Very rarely will a new work become available. I haven’t defined the moment for it yet.
I have a side of my work around drawing and experimenting with 2D animation

So far it’s my origin on Superrare, which was up for auction and sold for 1.777 Eth.

What was your biggest failure and what did you learn from it?
The truth is that I don’t remember anything happening to me that I could call a failure. life a
A constant flow of ups and downs, decisions and consequences. We learn from everything
It happens and it helps us develop. I had phases where I sold a little more commercial
And the technical industry, to be able to support itself, without keeping itself
Financially I enjoyed it and it worked well. Then, the moment I thought it was right, I left
Focusing on the kind of art I’ve always wanted to do, where I feel like I can be myself.

Anything else you’d like to share?
Just thank you for this interview opportunity. It’s emotional for me to say that
A little about my career as an artist and as a person. And be able to share it with many
Others through this publication.
Web 3 is a wonderful place; A place where I was able to meet and communicate
People from many parts of the world, artists and non-artists. I found friendship, support,
Inspiration. Strength and hope. I think this is an opportunity to bring out the best in us
Show support and solidarity with individuals who join, think of the collective as a skin
In constant movement. It’s just beautiful even with its flaws.
