DiCentraland’s third Metaverse Art Week goes live this month
This month, the third Metaverse Art Week is going live on Decentraland, a leading Metaverse platform. The theme of this edition will be ‘The World is Made of Code’. Visually, the relationship between man and nature. As well as showing how it relates to the metaverse will be a major focus of the pieces. The event will run from August 24-28.
Metaverse Art Week details
Metaverse Art Week will see art exhibits in various forms such as exhibitions, art design, and discussion panels as well as live performances organized within Decentraland.
Platforms such as OpenSea, SuperRare and Sotheby’s and creators such as Damien Hirst will be involved. They are expected to showcase some of their best work from last year. The event starts ten days from now, on August 24th, and will end four days later on August 28th.
In more detail, the theme for this year’s edition of the week-long event, is ‘The World is Made of Code’. They are focusing on the patterns, sequences, and formulas that make up the natural world. It will also explore how the human spirit is hardwired to create an emotional response when presented with art inspired by mathematical designs present in nature.

Sam Hamilton, Creative Director of the Decentraland Foundation, said: “Metaverse Art Week 2022 comes at a pivotal moment for greater adoption of Web3 technologies and decisions about our digital reality. We believe that the future of the Internet should be built by decentralized communities that do not seek to profit from user data, imagination or creativity,” he added, adding, “This year’s Art Week will be a love letter to the next generation. Artists are doing it in the metaverse.”

Also, Decentraland Will update their Twitter with more details. Especially those in panel discussions, round table discussions and Twitter spaces. These will be hosted under different names in the web3 space.
