Tezos NFT market shines amid crypto slump
The Tezos NFT market had a record-breaking month in July, with leading generative art platform fx(hash) recording over $3.8 million in sales.
In pure defiance of the market downturn, the NFT industry is rallying on the Tezos blockchain. In particular, performance art icon Marina Abramović released a stand-out collection, which was awarded $300,000.
Additionally, generative artist Janakan Tejos scored the second highest individual sale, selling for a whopping $113,000 on the secondary market.
Additionally, a collaboration between Iskra Velichkova and Jack Lieberman secured over $350,000 in revenue, making it one of Tezos’ top-selling projects to date.
Indeed, there may be a bear market, but platforms like fx(hash) are rising from the flames with their user-friendly platform, which inspires creation and empowers generative artists.
Clearly, the Tejos blockchain is brimming with talent and the Circa Art platform has welcomed a stunning collection by Serbian artist Marina Abramović.
Abramovich gained fame in the 1970s for his performance art that broke the boundaries of convention, and he has just launched his first web3 project ‘The HeroFPS’ at Circa Art.
Building on one of his earlier performances titled ‘The Hero’ (2001), Abramovich returned with a performance that contained 6,500 unique frames as NFTs.
Each NFT was sold as a single frame (.jpg) or a sequence of frames (.gif), allowing holders to buy time.
As a powerful nuance of the project, Abramovic and Circa Art are using a percentage of the revenue generated to grant grants to any ‘hero’ who submits an idea for Web3 that can make the world more sustainable. The grant will go to the idea that resonates most with Abramovich.
This is just one of many examples of innovative, powerful NFT projects running on the Tejos blockchain ecosystem.
In addition, Tezos’ NFT industry community has engaged in some spectacular digital and real-life events, securing major revenues in the process.
The first, ‘1-for-1 month’ celebrated single-edition works of generative art created on the Tejos blockchain. The event generated over $300,000 in initial market sales with 7,670 editions created by a group of 2,195 artists.
Generative art works varied in style and medium, with some notable artists Rubenfro, Lawrence Fuller, Frederic VanhoutAnd cotton.
Super July for Tezos continued with VerticalCryptoArt’s NFT Festival Proof of People, held at prestigious London venue Fabric London.
There were more than 2,000 people in attendance and an auction surrounding the event sold a total of $64,000. More than 70 artists participated in the three-day festival Missan Harriman, Mario Klingman, Sofia Crespo, DJ Richie HawtinAnd many more.
Finally, Tejos set a new record in smart contract deployment statistics, with a wave of new Dapps launching on the Cherry Proof-of-Stake network on top of a fantastic month. The total number of smart contracts was 11887, breaking the previous record of 8784 in January.
When it comes to positive news, it doesn’t get much better than this! What a month for Tezos NFT and we congratulate them for leading the NFT industry in the Web3 space.
