Konami is looking for staff at NFTs and Metaverse
Legendary Japanese gaming company Konami is looking to hire NFT and Metaverse employees. Gaming Goliath aims to provide users with the Metaverse experience with new web3 and expansion into NFT. One of its targets is called the Konami NFT Marketplace. Despite the growing apathy of gamers towards Web3 technology, Konami is ready to change the game! What positions is Konami hiring at Web 3?
According to a press release on Thursday, Konami stated that they plan to bring in a wide range of talent for their Metaverse project. Although the hiring campaign is currently focused on “systems construction” and “service development” planning, we can assume that more roles will pop up soon. “We are conducting research and development to incorporate the latest technology into games and content and plan to launch a service where players can trade their in-game NFTs (digital items) through a unique distribution platform using blockchain.” – said the company.
Konami plans to expand its team in Japan to develop the future of digital entertainment. The open positions they are hiring for include systems engineers, programmers, designers, product managers, and intellectual property law, among a variety of other legal, product, and finance positions. However, this isn’t Konami’s first foray into NFTs. In January, they released a Castlevania-themed NFT collection to celebrate the iconic game’s anniversary. The NFTs were extremely successful, generating over $160,000 in revenue.
The company plans to create a “unique digital item distribution platform” in accordance with the guidelines of the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association, Japan Online Game Association and Mobile Content Forum. Please note that the open locations for their Metaverse are currently available for their Japan-based locations. However, there may be plans to expand opportunities to other areas in the future.
