LaLiga x Dapper Labs Launches Soccer’s ‘NBA Top Shot’
Soccer fans rejoice – Spain’s premier soccer league, La Liga, is making its way to Web3! It is teaming up with Dapper Labs to build a platform set to become soccer’s “NBA Top Shot.” The launch date for this highly-anticipated platform is October 27, and fans can participate by joining a closed beta waiting list.
La Liga goals: What we know so far
The new platform – called Laliga Golazos – will allow fans to buy video NFTs of the most talked about moments since 2005. Therefore, it aims to bring Spanish football fans closer to their favorite team.
The video NFTs – called “Moments” – will feature the most iconic plays from all Spanish clubs and will be available in both Spanish and English. “Moments” will capture the goals, saves, assists and dribbles that changed the world of soccer.
“La Liga is full of history, tradition and legendary moments and our fans are the most passionate in the world and we are excited to offer them a new way to experience the moments they love,” said Oscar Mayo, executive director of La Liga.
