Hop Protocol for Introducing DAO and Airdrop Tokens for Beginners – Controversial

Layer 2 season is really upon us.

The Hop Protocol, which allows users to bridge resources across sidechains such as the Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) solution as well as polygon, is launching a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to manage the protocol.

And of course, there’s the HOP token, which will carry the right to rule. 8% of the total supply of HOP’s one billion tokens is being airdropped to early users of the protocol.

Eligibility can be checked here.

Hop DAO

Hop DAO decides which Layer 2 network will support the non-Ethereum chain protocol as well. As of May 5, Hop supports Ethereum’s mainnet and five networks, including L2s, Arbitrum and Optimism.

DAO will also be charged for approving tokens that can be bridged across the network – ETH, MATIC, and three stablecoins, DAI, USDC and USDT currently supported.

The largest portion of AirDrop, 3.35% of total HOP supply, will go to wallets where at least two bridges have been transacted and at least $ 1,000 in total bridging volume. There was something Blowback Minimum যোগ্য 1,000 to be eligible. Conversely, though, a user could repeatedly reach that threshold by bridging a small number back and forth.

Hop Sibyl is also launching a two-week program to report addresses that are multiple addresses that are actually owned by one person – opportunists often try to use multiple addresses to communicate protocols that can airdrop tokens to maximize their profits. Hop’s program is designed to address this effort.

Speaking at the unveiling of the DAO, Hopp said, “Civilian invaders are running rampant and are becoming more sophisticated to improve their filtering methods.” “These Sibyl attackers directly disagree with a healthy distribution and try to get tokens that should be in the hands of positive-aggregate users.”

Hopp wrote that 10,253 of the 43,058 addresses initially eligible for airdrop were identified as civil addresses and were excluded from the final list.

Hop, a key part of the L2 infrastructure, kickstarted a DAO last week with Token Airdrop and Optimism, and users looking for the next Airdrop are probably now turning their attention to Arbitram and zkSync, both of which are tokenless L2 solutions.
