Instagram set to support Ethereum, Solana, Flow and Polygon NFT

Exciting news from Meter Instagram to start offering the platform for Polygon, Flow, Solana, and Etherium NFT.

A few years ago, when Facebook acquired Meta Instagram now, the world speculated on how the acquisition would change the social networking world. Admittedly, over the past few years, Instagram has played a key role in the growth of meta (formerly Facebook) and global dominance.

A few years ago, very few people expected that Instagram would help launch a new wave of universally accepted digital resources to redefine how we value.

Unfortunately for Meta, the company’s Web3 strategies are still characterized by failure and irresistible performance. On the outside, the company seems a bit out of touch with the realities of the NFT and Web3 world.

Meta fans, stakeholders and investors are hoping that the company gets it right this time with its Instagram NFT strategy. Coindesk recently shared a report on how Instagram is ready to take the NFT space by storm, offering NFT functionality for NFTs built into Ethereum, Solana, Flow, and polygon blockchains and sidechains.

In addition, Instagram is expected to officially announce the pilot program on Monday, May 9, 2022. Instagram plans to separate its NFT offers at no charge for NFT posting and sharing; This is in stark contrast to Twitter initially charging users for its hexagonal NFT image in January 2022.

IG in NFTVers

Instagram’s NFT pilot programs come just months after Meter CEO Mark Zuckerberg initially announced that the platform would support NFT. Zuckerberg’s announcement came during the 2022 South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas.

Instagram plans to support popular crypto wallets, including metamask, and support for crypto wallets will make it easier for users to connect their wallets to Instagram. Once the wallets are connected to Instagram, users will be able to prove ownership and display their NFT on their Instagram profile.

Due to the size of Instagram, many industry experts believe that the platform’s NFT integration will go a long way in helping NFT adoption as it will increase the number of people able to access NFT.

When Instagram fully integrates NFTs into its platform, it will join Twitter as the only two social media platforms offering full NFT functionality. Other companies, such as YouTube and Reddit, support full NFT integration, the latter having recently completed its NFT integration pilot.

Meta is all going

Meta is a company that has been attracted to Metaverse and everything in between, and this company is not ashamed of its plans for Web 3 space. Meta has other plans, including proposed stores in Metaverse, cross-functional integration and more.

Meta knows how to move its weight around, and it will be interesting to see how this move by Meta plans to dominate the Web 3 space. Will it fail, or will it become a significant player in the meta sector? Only time will tell; Until then, we can enjoy how the story unfolds.
