Chevy to auction Corvette NFT with original car at Mint Green

Chevrolet has announced plans to auction a Corvette NFT. In addition to receiving the NFT, the winning bidder can take home a real sports car inspired by Artwork!

What are the details of Chevrolet’s Corvette NFT auction?

Artist Nick Sullo, who visited xsullo online, created the Chevrolet NFT. The artwork depicts the lime green Corvette Z06 blasting through a cyberpunk landscape. At auction, it was matched with an original custom-painted 2023 Corvette Z06 in the color of the solo industry.

The new Z06 is Chevy’s first ‘Vette’ with a naturally ambitious 5.5-liter V-8 mid-engine, located directly behind the driver. Moreover, it is a more hardcore, tack-focused sports car than its predecessors. Also, it will be the only car painted Mint Green because Chevy has promised not to apply the color to other Z06s.

The winning bidder will eventually receive both Sulo’s NFT and “Minted Green” Corvette. The auction will be held at Superrear between June 20-24. According to Chevy, they will donate all proceeds to an education charity, DonorsChoose.

The NFT auction comes at a difficult time due to the cryptocurrency situation at the moment. However, Chevy does not appear to be affected by market fluctuations. According to Chevrolet’s vice president of marketing, Steve Mizoros, their “On the Color” NFT is “an important step for Chevrolet in the future digital venture for our customers.”

The car company enters Web3

Chevy is not the only automaker on Web3. In fact, Hyundai, Lamborghini, and McLaren made their NFT. Nissan and Toyota are also preparing to enter the Metaverse. The inclusion of all these car companies in NFTs definitely demonstrates the benefits of emerging technologies for both the brand and the customer.
