Nickelodeon is going to launch an NFT collection
Prepare your green slime! Nickelodeon, the most popular children’s TV channel and studio, has announced that it will eliminate its own NFTs in the near future. Significantly, this means that we will soon see NFTs of some of the most iconic children’s TV characters of the 90’s.
All you need to know about Nickelodeon NFT
Nickelodeon’s parent company Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS) first announced NFTs in October 2021. At the time, the company made clear its intention to create NFTs for its various media companies, such as MTV, Comedy Central and, of course, Nickelodeon.
Another key issue is that Paramount Global has partnered with NFT platform Recur. In fact, Recur is helping the media with all its NFT projects. In April, the Star Trek NFT that was dropped with Paramount Ricker sold out within minutes.

When did Nickelodeon announce NFT collection?
The first consent to the Nickelodeon NFTs pipeline came from the network’s official NFT Twitter account. On June 9, it tweeted out a trailer that its first collection is coming to “Summer 2022” The tweet also agrees with the main theme of the NFT collection, with the words, “In the 90’s, they wanted to get your attention.”
The account has provided some valuable details since then but it has not stopped the NFT community from buzzing about it.
The trailer, on the other hand, is a reaction from the general public – a predictable response at the moment. To illustrate, we’ve seen countless companies, celebrities and even traditional artists receive intensely negative feedback from their fans when announcing NFT plans. Of course, this shows how far NFTs are still from mainstream acceptance.

Paramount Global continues its lead in NFT
As mentioned above, Paramount Global has been in NFT space for several months now. Still, there is a strong argument that Nickelodeon is home to some of Paramount’s most favorite and celebrated franchises. In other words, Nickelodeon’s NFT collection has a large pool to draw from.
Of course, from Nickelodeon’s tweets, we know the NFT collection will focus on his shows from the 90’s. That ends, like the characters from the show Rugrats And Hey Arnold! Features in the teaser and Nickelodeon’s Twitter banner.
Naturally, there is a big unanswered question that many fans will want answered. For example, if this debut collection includes Nickelodeon’s biggest star and source of iconic memes, SpongeBob SquarePants.
The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, but the show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, but the show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes. However, if not this summer, everyone’s favorite bikini bottom residents are more likely to hit the blockchain at some point.
Finally, both Nickelodeon and Recur are pointing fans to the Recur Discord server. So this is a great place if you want to know about the upcoming NFT.
