Game Launch for Bybit Backed GameFi Platform Yeha Games

Yeeha Games, a $50 million-funded GameFi platform, announced its Web3 gaming arrival.

Backed by leading cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, Yeeha Games will focus on a marketplace for trading quality games and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Starting with ‘Midgard Saga’ scheduled for release in September 2022, Yeha Games will unveil several blockchain games over the next 18 months, with 11 already in the works.

A winning team

With a global team over 90 strong, that boasts industry powerhouses like the Animoca brand, Yeeha Games is poised to be a major player in the gamification space.

“The GameFi industry has incredible growth in 2021,” said Choy Wai Cheong (Choy), co-founder and COO of Yeha Games. “But compared to the traditional gaming market, we still see a Huge untapped potential.”

“To attract traditional gamers to web3, we must have games that appeal to them. Blockchain or not, games need to be fun to attract and retain players in the long term. Integrating blockchain elements into game genres with proven success in the traditional gaming market is a good starting point — and that’s where Yeha Games comes in.”

The global team also includes notable names like Tencent, NetEase, IGG, Unity and TapTap.

Public Onboarding

Yeeha Games will develop free-to-play games, which will act as a bridge for players in the traditional gaming space to enter Web3 gaming.

Thus, traditional gamers will not need to navigate the crypto realm or purchase NFTs to start playing the game.

You can expect to see a wide variety of genres like MMORPG, SLG, open world, simulation and idle RPG card games.

As for its marketplace, Yeeha Games has a built-in wallet that supports both fiat and crypto deposits.

Additionally, players will be able to transact gas-free across all game titles on its platform.

The casual card RPG game Midgard Saga will kick off the Yeha Games ecosystem, following the prince’s adventure to save his fallen kingdom.

Players will encounter heroes of various backgrounds, which they can then recruit and deploy in battle.

Furthermore, the game’s passive gameplay, which is light on combat mechanics, is perfect for those who enjoy a real-time combat strategy game.

Bybit is already making waves in the Web3 space, as a partner to Formula One racing teams, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Borussia Dortmund, among others.
