Disney Seeks Lawyer for NFT & Crypto Matters – NFT Plaza

From ESPN to Starbucks, some of the world’s most notable and beloved brands are jumping into NFTs. For years, the question was whether mainstream brands would embrace blockchain assets. Now, the question is which brand will be next and which will reign supreme.

Now, corporate brands in the NFT space may have some major competition on their hands Disney Corporation has published a job listing for a lawyer related to NFT.

Official list on Disney career page Says the role is Principal Counsel – Corporate Transactions, Emerging Technologies and NFTs based in Burbank, California. From all indications, this role will require someone with experience in emerging technology sectors and that includes NFTs and blockchain.

The role is “seeking an experienced corporate attorney to work on transactions involving emerging technologies including NFTs, blockchain, metaverse and decentralized finance,” and also requires 5-8 years of experience in corporate transactions.

As part of the prescribed duties, the candidate will: Disney provides legal advice and business teams on NFT and cryptocurrency-related matters. For months, there has been speculation about whether Disney would enter the NFT space. This job posting seems to confirm that at least some NFT-related activity will be on the cards for the foreseeable future.
