Sberbank to allow NFT issuance – NFT Plaza

It comes months after the Russian government granted the bank a license to issue digital assets.
How Sberbank is accepting NFTs
As announced, the bank will add NFT functionality to its blockchain platform. With this development, users will be able to issue NFTs directly from it. According to Sberbank It will be made available from the fourth quarter of 2022, Deputy Chairman Anatoly Popov said during the recent Eastern Economic Forum.
But despite this, the bank has no plans to operate in isolation. Instead, it is looking to collaborate with companies like Art Gallery And sports league For NFT launch. Given the number of NFT applications seen in sports, industry and other worlds, there are many possibilities.
Russian media reported that the platform would initially roll out on a limited basis to allow for content moderation before giving wider access. Popov also acknowledged that certain aspects of this NFT project will need to be ironed out over time, as will the legality of it all.
