Nike’s RTFKT Reveals First Look at Real-Life Cryptographic Sneakers

The much-anticipated IRL Cryptokick Sneakers are almost here, and Nike’s RTFKT Studios gave us a sneak peek via a video from SneakerCon.

Many followers have already expressed their disappointment at the preview, with many hoping that this is not an unfinished model. However, despite this, it’s still a very exciting concept and another step for NFTs into the mainstream.

NiceKicks is a preview of RTFKT’s real-life cryptokicks.

RTFKT Cryptokix

Looking at the RTFKT Cryptokick Sneakers model, the 2015 Nike Air Mags (created to celebrate Back to the Future Day) look similar to their futuristic look and grey/silver/teal colorway. They can also be compared to some of Nike’s basketball sneaker models.

Through the SneakerCon-released video, some have speculated that the shoe may feature Nike’s Adapt technology, a feature that is self-lacing, again inspired by Back to the Future’s Air Mag.

There isn’t an official release date yet, however, Sole Retriever reports that we can expect to see the sneakers IRL this year’s holiday season. The sneakers will retail for $300. They also mentioned that users would likely need to own some form of RTFKT NFT to purchase the groundbreaking invention.

This will surely be the first of many real-life sneakers RTFKT will launch. They have a few silhouettes to build on the already launched NFT, alone.

Feedback from their audience

Unfortunately, despite the cool concept, RTFKT’s fanbase wasn’t too keen on initial leaks of the RTFKT Cryptokick Sneakers. Not sure what stage the product is in.

“After collecting so many Cryptokiss, I’m really disappointed with this one, I hope it’s a very early version.“, one user commented.

Another Twitter user said: “It’s not. This is mainly adapted from Nike. No sneakerhead is wearing those. And it’s confusing for those who bought Cryptokix Dunk. Because it’s not a dunk and it’s being labeled as cryptokicks Pretty disappointed.”
