Azurbala Azurians art preview received terrible response
Azurbala today released an art preview for their Azurians NFT. It’s safe to say that didn’t go down well with their top fans, who had a variety of negative reactions that they were quick to share on Twitter.
Azurians preview of Azurbala
Last night, Azurbala released an art preview of their new Azurians NFT – a collection of 80 NFTs awarded to some of their strongest communities.
It doesn’t seem to match the aesthetic they’ve created, specifically, the jungle/castle theme. To clarify, profile picture NFTs look weird, almost inexplicable, and completely unrelated.

Reactions from their fans
Of course for the Azurbala team, the reaction of the new Azurians was not quite what they had hoped for. As soon as the art previews went live, Twitter went crazy over them.
One user, @_ShaniceBest, said: “Honestly wtf is this fam? What vibes were being conveyed here?” – this reflected the general message that people were conveying.
Another user, @brianhc, added: “This project went really weird, really fast. From a yacht club valet to a monstrous jungle character made by burning books.”
Another interesting thing that Brian added is the drastic drop in floor prices – 40% – since the promo/preview video went live.
Basically, someone calls their bluff. @_mousedev said: “calling now The The disclosure is fake. Great PR move to garner massive attention to the project before replacing it with better art.” However, immediately, a member of the Tally Labs team shut it down.
Feedback from the team regarding Azurians
The founder of the collection, Jenkins The Valet, wrote a response on Twitter after reading the feedback and the initial reaction of Azurbala’s Azurians.
He said: “Thanks to everyone who took time out of their day to join the spaces and provide constructive feedback. We took the risk. It doesn’t pay off. We just wrapped a call with the entire team discussing feedback + next steps We will definitely fix it. Tally Labs is here to stay.
(To clarify, Tally Labs is the company behind Azurbala and some other projects.)
What is Azure?
clarify, Azure A collection of ‘Storytelling NFTs’ created by Jenkins the Valet and their team, which are currently trending. Bored and dangerous holders can burn their NFTs in exchange for an Azur Root (a sacred item within Azurbala that can be redeemed for a PFP NFT). It’s a fantasy-based NFT collection made up of factions, each of which (including House Calypso, The Sproles, and more) has its own dedicated experience on the NFT’s website.
