Binance Lazio FC – Introduces NFT Tickets to NFT Plazas

Following the ticketing incident at the Stade de France during the Champions League final, Italian top-flight side Societa Sportiva Lazio (aka Lazio) has adopted blockchain technology into its ticketing system. To do this, the club has partnered with crypto exchanges Binancewho will provide the club with an NFT ticketing solution for all its home matches to be held here Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The solution, which is, for now, only scheduled for the upcoming 2022/23 season, is set to eliminate any issues related to counterfeit tickets, scalping and general disorder when fans enter the ground. NFTs will be free to claim, and in addition to serving as a standard ticket, they will also come with club shop discounts, token gifts and other Lazio experiences.

With this in mind, and although Lazio is a popular club with a relatively high demand for tickets, the more obvious benefits of introducing NFT tickets will likely be felt when the solution is added to major football events, such as: the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
