Plano, Texas – October 18, 2022 – After years of causing mischief in the real world, Chester the Cheetah and Cheetos® are taking their antagonism to virtual reality this Halloween. Cheetos today unveiled Chesterville, a new, digital suburban neighborhood unlike anything — real or virtual — Cheetos fans have seen before. Featuring all manner of tricks and opportunities to bring a taste back to the real world, this is the first venture into virtual reality for both Cheetos and the iconic Frito-Lay® snack portfolio.

The goal is to gain access to the haunted mansion atop Cheetos Hill. Once inside the mansion, fans can unlock the most exciting part of Chesterville: the chance to vote for their favorite “Ghosts of Cheetos Past” and help bring back flavors no longer found in the real world. Fans will choose from three favorite flavors to be resurrected for a limited run: Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Chipotle Ranch, Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Pepper Puffs, or Cheetos Nashville Hot Snacks.

Here’s how the game unfolds in Chesterville:

- With the help of in-game power-up items, or Cheetos Mischief Makers – covering rooms with cheats-filled paper towels and smashing boxes of bone-in Cheetos mac n cheese-stuffed pumpkin pie – players are tasked with the challenge of collecting points and ghosting atop a mountain of Cheetos. Do as much mischief as possible to gain access to the palace.
- Once they reach the mansion, players can vote on which “ghosts from Cheetos’ past”. (aka a fan-favorite flavor from the past) They want to bring back IRL for a limited run: Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Chipotle Ranch, Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Pepper Puffs, or Cheetos Nashville Hot Snacks.
Chesterville can be accessed through Meta Horizon Worlds in Meta Quest 2 virtual reality headsets and can be explored long after Halloween is over.
